A Bit About Mount Ephraim

Mount Ephraim began as a colonial settlement in the early 1800's.  A man named Ephraim Albertson owned the Public House, which was used as a meeting place as a station for the stagecoaches travelling between Philadelphia and the Jersey shore.  Over time, the community and business grew and in 1855 the are became part of now defunct, Center Township.  The community continued to thrive, then in 1926, the area was incorporated as a borough.  Over the years, Mt. Ephraim established it's own fire companies, police station, and schools.   Modern day Mount Ephraim has a beautiful combination of modern conveniences and historic charm.
