South Jersey Real Estate

homes for sale in South JerseyThere is a lot to love about South Jersey.  There are tons of family oriented activities.  If you are into amusement parks, we have Clementon Park offering thrill rides, like the Ring of Fire.  The Ring of Fire is a roller coaster that sends you on a journey of backwards and forward spins around a 60 foot loop.

There are family rides, such as the classic carousel, and Ferris wheel and a huge water park.  Or check out Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor and Outdoor Water Park.  Ever wanted to drive a bull dozer?  At Diggerland you and the kids can ride and drive full size construction equipment as well as other rides. You can visit Adventure Aquarium, where you can see 8,000 aquatic animals on display.  Adventure Aquarium uses over 2 million gallons of water!  There are several wineries in the area as well.

What’s so Great About South Jersey?

The part of New Jersey known as South Jersey consists of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem.  South Jersey is a laid back, rural area without pretense while, at the same time, is located just over the Ben Franklin Bridge from Philadelphia so you get the best of both worlds, rural life close to the culture and excitement of the city.

In contrast to North Jersey, South Jersey offers life without the hectic pace.  It’s a great place to live and to come home to.  If you are longing for a faster pace, then perhaps Cherry Hill is for you.  Situated close to some of the more sleepy towns, Cherry Hill boasts the Cherry Hill Mall.  Cherry Hill Mall opened for business in 1961 as the first enclosed mall on the East Coast.

Marketplace at Garden State Park is situated along Route 70 on the site of the former Garden State Park racetrack.  Marketplace offers 500,000 square feet of retail space in addition to townhouses and condos.

Along the Delaware River waterfront you’ll not only find Adventure Aquarium, but also Campbell’s Field, home to the Riversharks minor league baseball team.  If you are a history bluff you can visit Salem where you will find the 88 foot “Salem Oak.”  The tree is over 300 years old and was there when Salem was founded by John Fenwick in 1675.  There are also various battle and burial grounds to see.

Of course there’s Atlantic City, a decidedly popular destination.  If you are not into all the hustle and bustle of big time gambling, head over to Storybook land, an old time amusement park.  And of course, the Jersey Shore, stretching from Sandy Hook to Cape May and boasting the beach towns of Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor and Avalon.

South Jersey Real Estate marketThe real estate market in South Jersey suffered from the economic downturn, as did most regions; however, one caveat has been a drop in home pricing.  It is very much a buyer’s market right now.  With prices dropping, buyers may now qualify for more house, but many are opting on the side of caution and looking for homes that provide a more comfortable payment amount.

We agree that you should stay in the neighborhood of what you can comfortably afford.  While we don’t expect issues, it never hurts to be prepared.  Less demand and lower prices mean you may be able to get more house for your money and stay in budget.  The real estate market continues to stabilize, meaning more security for you.  We are experts in the pricing game too.  We are on your side and will work very hard to ensure your comfort level in any home purchase.

As new construction continues to rise, it inspires confidence in a previously unstable market, giving buyers and sellers alike the comfort level they desire in the real estate market.  You want to be certain your investment, likely your biggest investment, is not in danger of losing value, leaving you holding the bag.  We are homeowners, too, and we understand your position and we are dedicated to finding the balance for you.  We represent every area of the South Jersey Real Estate market.  No matter where in South Jersey you want to be, we can get you there.
