New Jersey Home Sales Tax

The New Jersey Association of Realtors recently launched a new website that provides information regarding the Realty Transfer Fees, also known as the home sales tax, in NJ and urges home owners to help block the proposed increase to the home sales tax.

The website  http://www.njhometax.com includes an indepth explanation of the Realty Transfer Fee, it’s purpose and history, along with a petition so you can voice your concerns. In addition, you can also read the economic analysis report which shows the possibility of not only increased costs to home sellers and home buyers but a decrease in homes sales in New Jersey as a result.
