A woman in Toronto, Canada fell victim to identity theft and mortgage fraud and had her house stolen from her last year.  By forging her signature, the identity thief was able to transfer the title into the name of an accomplice and discharge her mortgage.  They then took out a new loan of $300,000 and defaulted.  Read more
